Actress is now devoted mother, prayer warrior

If you grew up in the 90’s, you likely would remember Melissa Joan Hart from her role as Sabrina in Sabrina the Teenage Witch. Today, the star is a praying mom, wife, and devoted Christian. Hart and her husband live in Nashville and were close to the scene of the shooting. They were able to assist a fleeing kindergarten class escaping the school shooting last week and Hart called on people to pray to state, “Enough is enough.”

Hart grew up Catholic on Long Island, but came to faith later in life and along with her husband decided to join the Presbyterian church. Now she’s fighting spiritual battles in her own life and using the Name of Jesus and her faith in him to cast out darkness and release God’s light and love.

Darkness is just the absence of light

“One of the great things that I’ve learned is that darkness is just the absence of light and without Jesus you just have this darkness and then Jesus is the light… so not having Jesus in your life just leaves this void,” she told Paula Faris, former GMA host on her podcast.

CBN reports her dependency on the Holy Spirit to hear God and overcome fear.

Hart also accepted a role in God’s Not Dead 2, the 4 movie faith series that has grossed nearly $100MM at the box office in total.
