Harris Faulkner discusses mountain moving faith

Fox News anchor, Harris Faulkner, may be best known for bringing breaking news to audiences around the world, but she’s also a woman of great faith. Her new book, Faith Still Moves Mountains, (affiliate link) published by Fox News Publishing contains a collection of powerful, true-life stories of resilience, healing, rescue, and protection. “From the aftermath of the devastating earthquake in Haiti to the theater shooting in Aurora, Colorado, believers testify to how God inspired hope even when all seemed lost.”

Faulker says she is a woman of prayer, and she is sharing her story and others’ stories of faith in the midst of tragedy to an even wider audience now through her writing. She hopes to encourage others with the power of prayer and the truth that God is still answering prayers to this day.

“I pray every day. I pray with all we have going on in our cities, but mainly I listen,” she told Fox & friends morning show.

Faulkner said one of the impetuses of the book is that so many people don’t believe that God is active in the lives of people. They may believe in a higher power but they don’t see his work. “They don’t believe he does anything anymore,” Faulker shared.

Faulkner emphasized the essential art of listening when we pray and not just talking. “The importance of listening when we pray. Stop scrolling on our social, and get down on your knees and let him scroll something past you.”

She also touches on knowing your God-given or “divine assignment”. “I write in the book about having a divine assignment. those things that feel just like we showed up on time. His timing to do.”

“I hope people will reignite that spirit of feeling chosen and feeling like they have a purpose. Even when things go wrong, and they can go terribly wrong, even when they do, when we lean into God, he leans into us. We just have to be open.”

Faulkner leads the Faulkner Focus (weekdays 11AM-12PM/ET) and co-anchors Outnumbered (weekdays 12PM-1PM/ET) on Fox News Channel.
