Christians across the U.S. and Canada come together in a powerful display of solidarity with Israel, commemorating the victims of the October 7 Hamas attacks through the “Flags of Fellowship” campaign

In a remarkable display of solidarity with Israel and the Jewish people, Christians across all 50 U.S. states and Canada will unite in the “Flags of Fellowship” campaign. This initiative, launched by the International Fellowship of Christians and Jews (IFCJ), marks the first anniversary of the October 7, 2023, Hamas attacks on Israel, aiming to remember the victims and honor the heroes of that day.

From October 6-7, nearly 250 Christian churches, universities, schools, and synagogues will display fields of 1,200 Israeli flags, each representing a life lost during the attacks. This collective gesture serves not only as a tribute to the victims but also as a testament to the enduring bond between Christians and Jews.

A Public Declaration of Unity

The “Flags of Fellowship” campaign will see more than 300,000 flags displayed across North America, representing millions of Christians standing against hate and anti-Semitism. By participating in this campaign, these churches and institutions publicly declare their unwavering support for Israel’s ongoing struggle for peace and security.

Yael Eckstein, President and CEO of the Fellowship, emphasized the deep connection between Christians and Jews, stating, “The Flags of Fellowship campaign is a powerful reminder of the unbreakable bond rooted in shared values. As we mark this somber anniversary, we invite Christians everywhere to stand with Israel and the Jewish people, even when it requires courage.”

Anchor Event at World Outreach Church

One of the key events of this campaign will take place at World Outreach Church in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, where Pastor Allen Jackson will host the anchor event. Yael Eckstein will attend and address the congregation, sharing insights into life in Israel since the attacks.

“Our congregation is honored to stand with Israel and the Jewish people,” said Pastor Jackson. “It’s a privilege to be part of a movement that brings Christians together in such a meaningful and impactful way.”

Remembering the Victims

In Israel, on October 6, a ceremony will be held at Kibbutz Kissufim, where the names of the 1,200 victims will be read aloud. This symbolic act will take place near the home of a firefighter whose daughter was tragically killed in the attack.

Since the events of October 7, 2023, the Fellowship has been a lifeline for many in Israel, providing over $114 million in direct aid to first responders, evacuees, and those affected by the ongoing conflict.

A Call for Faith and Solidarity

The “Flags of Fellowship” campaign is not just about remembering the past but also about building a future grounded in faith, unity, and peace. Christians and people of faith are encouraged to join this movement and show their support for Israel by participating in the campaign.
